Barcode Slot Readers

Slot readers read barcodes printed on ID cards and badges. The reader has a slot through which the card is swiped and the barcode comes in contact with the scanning eye. Barcode slot readers can read only 1D barcodes, but some also have a magstripe reader built-in which can read cards with magnetic stripes, like credit cards. Barcode slot readers are commonly used for time & attendance and access control applications.
